It’s giving imposter syndrome
If you’re a fan of voluminous, bouncy hair, you’ve probably heard of the bevelled blowout. This popular hairstyle involves creating a subtle, angled shape in your hair using a round brush and blow dryer. However, for our effortless beauties who like to try new styles rather than visiting a salon, we have an easy-to-use tool and simple techniques that will help you achieve a faux bevelled blowout at home.
What you will need
- Kaleo Dryer
- Round brush
- Heat protectant
Optional
- Kaleo Standard Iron
- Hairspray
- Serum or Oil
How to get the look
- Prep your hair! Apply a heat protectant spray to help prevent damage from the blow dryer
- Section your hair – divide your hair into sections using our Kaleo Sectioning Clips
- Starting with the bottom section, take a round brush and place it under a section of your hair near the roots
- Hold the brush and hair taut, then blow dry the section from the roots to the ends. Once the section is dry, roll the brush inward towards your head and continue to blow dry until the section is smooth and curled
- Repeat this process for each section of hair
- To create the bevell, when you get to the top sections of your hair, angle the brush slightly outwards as you blow dry to create a subtle bevell shape. This will help to give you volume and movement.
- Once your hair is dry and styled, use a small amount of texture spray or hairspray to hold the style in place.
- As an option, you could also add a bit of serum or hair oil to smooth out the frizz and add extra shine. Just remember to add oils and serums to the palm of your hand first and rub them together to truly work the product through your hair
